You’ve decided to reach out and schedule your Vermont senior photo session, but what happens after you submit your inquiry? Beyond the initial message confirming your interest in booking, the process can feel overwhelming or confusing, particularly if you’re new to working with a professional photographer.
I value clear and precise communication, as it’s how I best process information. With that in mind, I have created a straightforward guide to outline what comes next. This includes details on how to schedule, answers to frequently asked questions, tips for selecting a location, advice on outfit planning, and all the essential information you’ll need as you prepare for your session.
Booking Your Session
To begin the booking process, start by filling out the inquiry form on my website. The great news is that you’ve already completed the first step! Next, you’ll want to check my availability and choose a date that suits you best. To simplify things and avoid endless email exchanges, I have provided a link where you can conveniently view my available dates and times online. Once you find a date, select a time and submit your request. The session start time you choose may change depending on the month you decide to book. I prefer to shoot at specific times in the evening to capture my signature golden hour aesthetic. After you submit, I will review it to ensure it works and then confirm it.
Once confirmed, you’ll receive a follow-up email containing three essential documents that must be submitted to officially secure your date: a contract for your signature, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the session fee, and a questionnaire to help me prepare for our session. Please note, your session date is not locked down until you complete these three documents.

Most Common Questions
- What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our session?
- I prefer scheduling my sessions on sunny evenings. If it happens to rain on our session date, I will provide you with a list of alternative dates for rescheduling. In cases of overcast weather without rain, I will suggest a reschedule but ultimately leave the choice up to my client. I have limited the number of sessions I accept to devote more time to my booked clients, which also offers greater flexibility for any necessary rescheduling.
- What if I don’t feel good or get sick on the day of our session?
- Life throws curveballs! Whether you’re feeling unwell, dealing with a family emergency, or just having an off day, I am quite easy-going and adaptable. Just reach out to me, and we can review our schedules to find alternative dates that work for both of us!
- How do we pick a location?
- That’s a fantastic question! If you have specific locations in mind, please share them with me! You can list them in the questionnaire during the booking process, or simply send me a direct message on Instagram.
